1. Purpose of this website

This website provides general information about The Doha Circle — its purpose, leadership, approach, relationships and areas of interest. It is intended for family offices, investment houses, institutional partners, professional advisers, governmental and sovereign institutions, business principals and comparable professional audiences.

Use of this website creates no member, client, advisory, fiduciary, agency, partnership or other professional relationship with The Doha Circle or with any member of the Circle.

2. Regulatory status

The Doha Circle is established at the Qatar Financial Centre. Its registration is in progress, and its registration number will be published here on completion.

The Circle is not authorised by the Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority to carry on regulated financial services activities, and nothing on this website is an invitation to engage the Circle in such activities. Where a matter requires a regulated or professionally authorised service, that service is performed by an appropriately authorised institution or adviser.

Establishment at the Qatar Financial Centre is not an endorsement by the Qatar Financial Centre Authority, the Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority or the State of Qatar of the Circle, its activities, or any statement made on this website.

3. No offer or solicitation

Nothing on this website constitutes, or should be construed as, an offer, solicitation, invitation or recommendation to acquire, dispose of, subscribe for, underwrite or otherwise enter into any investment, security, financial product or transaction.

No investment or other transaction may be entered into through this website.

Any opportunity separately considered by a member of the Circle is considered on its own facts, through the appropriate private process and documentation, and remains subject to the independent decision, diligence and professional advice of that member.

4. No advice

Nothing on this website constitutes investment, financial, legal, tax, accounting or other regulated or professional advice.

The content has not been prepared having regard to the objectives, financial position, experience, risk tolerance or circumstances of any particular person. No person should make an investment, financial or other material decision in reliance on it. Independent professional advice should be obtained where appropriate.

5. The role of the Circle

The Doha Circle is a private body convened for its members.

The Circle does not operate a pooled investment fund or a blind pool, and membership is not a commitment to invest. Each member retains full discretion over its own capital and decides for itself whether, when and on what terms to pursue an opportunity.

The Circle may convene, coordinate or facilitate relationships among relevant parties. In doing so it does not replace, and does not hold itself out as replacing, the regulated institutions and professional advisers required for a particular matter.

6. No representation as to access, suitability or outcome

Descriptions of markets, sectors, investment environments, governmental priorities, trends, opportunities and relationships are provided as general institutional context. They do not constitute:

• a representation that any opportunity will be available;
• a representation that any investment can or will be completed;
• an assurance of access to any governmental, sovereign, institutional or commercial party;
• a guarantee of investment performance or return;
• a representation as to the future value of any asset; or
